Love Is A Serious Mental Disease

Five Things I Love Friday; These are my current obsessions

1. Vintage Quilts

This week at a thrift store a woman in front of me in line was holding the most beautiful handmade vintage quilt possibly every sewn. Now, I have had my share of thrift store jealousy before. However, I have never come so close to cutting a b*tch. I wanted it that badly. Now I'm obsessed.

2. Toasted Marshmallows

Alyson (is neat) went camping last week, and I had a small pang of jealousy. I don't typically dig on sleeping outdoors, bugs, or grilling meat on an open flame. I do enjoy the roasting of marshmallows though. This may end with congealed sugar on our gas stove...

3. Swedish Hasbeens

Homeslice is saving money to move into a new house. That's right, I just called myself homeslice. What are you going to do about it? Anyway, this money saving means only getting to admire  pretty/expensive shoes from afar. Sigh.

4. Cuffs

My friend Kat got me the most amazing silver cuff for my birthday. It has been the perfect accessory for hiding the random purple bruise that showed up on my wrist this week. Now if only they made cuffs for your shins...

5. You

Aweeeeee, right? I mean it. My life feels kind of crazy right now, but this blogging thing seems to be going okay. I really do appreciate you stopping by for my attempts at being funny and my oddly inconsistent wardrobe. All despite the fact that I will never enter your giveaway. Ever.

Have a great weekend,
XO Robyn

  2. Lolz. Robyn you are hilaarrious and you always post the most wonderful things. Some blogs just give you a little taste you know? Like you just want to see 5 more pictures, but nope, they have to leave you hanging. But not you - nobody leaves Twitch Vintage unsatisfied! And now that I have left a sufficiently creepy comment, I'll take my leave.

  3. Hehe, I love the dog positive poster. I think I should get one to put on my ceiling so every morning I start out feeling like that.

  7. Oh man, right there with you in terms of saving $$$ for a house... it's really depressing especially when I have events (showers, weddings) where I know I'll have to make due with what's already in my closet :P I'm hoping it makes me appreciate the wardrobe I have, but after hours of wistful window shopping today, I'm just pissed off. lol! Happy weekend :)

  12. I empathize on pinching pennies for a move and having to do without expensive shoes. i really only want them when i'm broke or on a budget, though. if it's any consolation, a friend just bought a pair of hasbeens and they cut her feet.

  13. oh man i saw these jumbo marshmallows at the grocery store the other day and now i'm craving smores. i am so in lust with the swedish hasbeens but yeah there's no way. and we love you :)

  14. Ah but giveaways are fun - I won two amazing gold cuffs in one, I'm excited to wear them!

I had my first smores of the summer last night... but I totally toasted my marshmallows on the gas stove.

I've seen a few people posting a recipe for a smore shake, and I'm going to have to make it.
