1. Picnics

The boy and I are having a picnic tomorrow afternoon. Good food, cold drinks, hanging out in the grass, books, blankets, and people watching. I can't wait.

These are a huge part of my summer uniform. I was actually surprised when I realized I hadn't included them in a 5 things post before this. I am all over making my own high waisted versions from thrifted mom jeans.

3. Grilled corn on the cob

 During summer, when fresh corn is ridiculously cheap, I can eat this everyday. Who's throwing the next big barbecue? This will be my dish.

4. Prescription Sunglasses

I consider prescription sunglasses to be a luxury. This may be because I order my glasses off of cheap websites, and buy my sunglasses at thrift stores. I am definitely in the market for this treat. I will just have to be sure to take good care of them.

Florida Sunshine & Mountain Air

 Oh, hello. I am home from my mini vacation, and in need of a good night's sleep in my own bed. I was putting together my Five Things I Love Friday post, and it was coming across strangely cranky. I think it will be better for everyone if I make it a Five Things I Love Saturday post. Until then, here are the only photos I took on my vacation.

Wes, the manager, offered to make a leftover tinfoil animal. When I asked for a penguin he said that was too simple. I then requested that the penguin have a top hat and a cane. Wes delivered.

Boulder was amazing.

As you can see, this started out like any other outfit shoot with me giving serious model face. Then, I spotted a butterfly. The remaining 40+ pictures of this shoot are me attempting (unsuccessfully) to scoop him up. Between the romper and the silly grin on my face I truly look like a child. I almost had him though. Honest.

Bonus shot. I am in LOVE with this house. I want to take outfit photos in front of it all the time. However, the old man who lives there is crotchety (Note: apparently crotchety is a real word. Who knew?), and never leaves. He went on a quick errand this morning, and we raced over. Unfortunately the lighting would not cooperate with his random absence. Oh well, at least you get to see how sweet it is.
