Peter Pan Collar Dress: Vintage; will be added to the shop Thursday
Belt: Comes with the dress
Bag: Thrifted Dooney & Bourke
Shoes: Steve Madden
Lips: Revlon

Peter Pan Collars always make me think of my childhood OBSESSION with Peter Pan. (The musical, not the cartoon.) That was the movie I could watch on repeat three times a day, everyday, all summer long. Looking at it as an adult, I really feel like constantly watching a woman in her forties playing a ten year old boy probably caused me psychological damage. Seriously, that's just not right.

It's well that explains a lot about you Tuesday,
XO Robyn

  1. Are you talking about the one with Mary Martin? If so, I watched that one all the freakin time when I was little...I saw it again a year or two back and I've gotta say that it was really strange, like you said, haha. At least now maybe we've found the source of our psychological problems.

  8. Sometimes the movies we love as children are deep traumatizing. It's disturbing really. Also, I don't know why I am just noticing this now but your hair looks longer. Sorry, I think I'm really off the ball this week.

  16. Oh, wow, this dress is one of my favorite items I've seen going to your shop. It is amazing, and I love gray with red. My sister and I used to watch that weird Peter Pan all the time, too, and also Calamity Jane with Doris Day.

  17. I've seen that movie tons of times. My brother was the one who was obsessed with it, but with only one tv I had to watch a lot of his movies.

  19. I used to watch the Peter Pan musical all the time, too. I even saw a stage production of it a few years ago. Do go if you ever get the chance! Sometimes I catch myself singing the songs out of the blue ;)

What a pretty dress. The red belt is perfect. Any other color would just look... wrong.
